About Carol:
      •  Ten Million Dollar Producer
      •  Top Sales Agent in Lake Toxaway
      •  Top Listing Agent in Lake Toxaway

Carol has been a property owner in Lake Toxaway since 1990 and has lived here full-time since 2001.  "It didn't take long to realize that just spending weekends in Lake Toxaway was not enough.  I yearned to be here and call this glorious place home."

Carol was born and raised in Mexico City, where she lived for 18 years.  Her fluency in Spanish is very valuable in working with the construction and labor force in the area.  Carol left Mexico to attend DePauw University, in Greencastle, Indiana, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Nursing.  After nursing for seven years, Carol began a new career in marketing and promotions.  During her 21 years in this field, she owned her own company in Charlotte, North Carolina.  This is also where she raised her two children, Kevin and Virginia.

Carol grew up in a family that traveled extensively.  She still has this passion and is an avid traveler who is always looking for a new corner of the world to investigate or a new thrill to experience.  Whether it is hang gliding with her children in New Zealand or learning about cultures in distant countries, Carol enjoys every opportunity to meet new people.  Carol is also the past president of the Toxaway Falls Garden Club, a photographer, and an outdoor enthusiast.

Carol has risen rapidly in her real estate career due to her strong work ethic, her emphasis on customer service, her attention to details, and her marketing skills.  Today she is a ten-million dollar producer who will work tirelessly to match clients with the properties that they desire.  Carol enjoys combining the extensive marketing program of the Lake Toxaway Company with her advertising knowledge, love of photography, and design capabilities to gain maximum market exposure for her listing clients.

Jerry began his real estate career 31 years ago in the mountains of North Carolina.  With two degrees in management he moved into resort operations and was site manager at several communities prior to his association with the Lake Toxaway Company in 1987.  Before his arrival in Lake Toxaway 21 years ago, he received broker licenses in three states.   His infinite knowledge gained over these many years enables him to listen to his clients and picture the best values in four or five properties which meets their needs and budget.  He diligently prepares an itinerary prior to the client’s arrival, works closely with them in the search of the 5,000 acres in the estates, and follows through the closing procedures. He considers the real work to begin after the sale by helping them to survive the building process or acclimate into the community.  His knowledge of the area and skilled people in the area are invaluable to making a second, third or retirement home a pleasure not a problem.  Should you desire a property outside of Lake Toxaway Estates, he will be happy to help you with that choice or refer you to a qualified agent he knows in the area.  He looks forward to meeting new friends and potential neighbors.

About Jerry:
I grew up on a family dairy farm in eastern Tennessee, which I still operate today as a hay and cattle farm.  My grandfather was a logger who shipped white oak barrel staves to the whiskey distilleries in Kentucky.   I walked many days through the woods listening to my grandfather name the trees and animals and discuss his love of the land.  From this background I developed a love, knowledge and respect for the land and the animals which abound in the fields and forest. Just the other day, as the deep green of the new grass in the hay fields was emerging, 50 wild turkeys were enjoying the tender morsels of the fescue and red clover. I live in the two story log home which was built in the early 1800’s at the farm.  The craftsmanship which our ancestors put into these structures was amazing.

The love of the outdoors moved me from working as a manufacturing engineer to mountain real estate which I have enjoyed for the past thirty-one years.  The past twenty-one years I have spent at Lake Toxaway.  Years ago when the company was developing subdivisions, I did the original pricing on several of these areas.  There are very few lots I have not walked and as an avid fisherman, I am very familiar with every lake lot on Lake Toxaway and Lake Cardinal.  I can tell you the best places to catch trout, smallmouth bass and huge largemouth bass.

When you visit my office you will see pictures of a log home, horse drawn hay rake, deer, tractors, trout and my favorite dog the Boston Terrier.  I prefer to describe life at Lake Toxaway to you from a boat on the lake as we cruise around looking at the seven mountains which surround the property.  You can see the homes, the crystal clear waters of the lake, the many types of vegetation and the peace and serenity of the cool high mountains of western North Carolina.
